I have a ceiling fan in my living room and bedroom that are rarely used. I have a tower fan than I used to use for working out but the fuse has been blown since June.

It’s funny, we’re just the opposite. SWMBO likes to have the fan (for noise) going at night in our bedroom, and I use the living room fan to push air on a regular basis. Our tower fan gets used occasionally at supper in the shoulder seasons when the heat builds up but it’s not quite hot enough for the AC to be on all the time yet.
@chienfou
I dislike having wind blow on me.
I haven’t had my heat pump system on in over a month. In the early morning, I open up the doors and windows and it drops the temperature in the house to about 62-64°. When the temperature outside exceeds the temperature inside, I will close up the house it’ll warm up to about 68-70° in the house by evening.
@kittykat9180
Same here on the heat pump. We take it as a personal challenge to see how far into the season we can go before we turn the AC on. It getting down to 50s overnight locally so the house cools down nicely. It’s pretty well insulated and likewise doesn’t get up to above 70 before evening generally this time of year. I have a very wide temperature tolerance range.
Oh, and with your aversion to wind in your face hopefully your next reincarnation won’t be as a dog!
At night I have a pedestal fan on high, the ceiling fan on high and then depending on the temperature, a window open OR my in room portable a/c unit chugging along to keep the room at around 65.
Thank goodness Charliedoggo likes the fan and cool weather.
The only fan in our house is the one in the HVAC (geothermal heat pump).
I do have a box fan in my barn/workshop (metal pole barn) that I sometimes use on really hot days. But temperatures are mostly pretty mild here in the PNW.
my fans are my most esoteric collecting habit. I have at least 20 antique/vintage electric fans, some of them are basket cases but some of them run 24/7 during the warm months, and nobody apparently can stop me from buying more.
I’ve got fans in the ceiling, on the ceiling, in my PC, under my PC, on the floor under my PC, in my controller, in my pocket … Where don’t I have fans?
I have my grandmother’s all metal (including parts of the motor that in newer fans can be plastic) attach to the window fan. Growing up we used it to cool the house at night screwing it in to the attic landing window. Somehow I ended up with it. When I went to get it fixed the guy said if I ever wanted to get rid of it he’d buy it as they don’t make them like that any more.
My fan is my: …greatest cheerleader.
@shahnm
I would have nothing to offer on OnlyFans, so I will avoid the embarrassment of assuming that I have any.
@werehatrack C’mon now. There’s something for everyone (and someone for everything)…
It was already into the 90s here in March. I hate summer.
@ChompyGator
Living in the high desert, I very much do not like summer either.
Usually I leave for the summer but this year I’m moving.
@heartny Golly, no wonder that website is so popular.

I have ceiling fans in all bedrooms. They are used mostly at low speed to circulate air through the house and assist the HVAC system.

I am at an age where fans are just a necessity.

Supplementary cooling method and white noise.
